  • We are writing this letter to express our absolute satisfaction in Darren’s professional performance over the last couple of weeks. We had been on the market for sale with another agent for about three weeks when Darren knocked on our door asking us why hadn’t we sold yet, as Darren indicated that he usually has a sold sticker on the sign by this time.

  • We met Darren Dowd after looking for a home to buy in the Baulkham Hills area. The first property we saw with him wasn't to our liking and so Darren was pro-active enough to mention another two in our approximate price bracket. Both of these we had seen online but had decided against. Darren was quick to figure out the kind of property we were after and he was keen to have us inspect first-hand. We were surprised with the first that it was very close to what we were after, but the second was just perfect! We put an offer in on that same day and, with a small amount of negotiating, that Darren facilitated very easily, the owners accepted.

    Darren was quick to build rapport with us. As potential buyers, Darren treated us with the utmost respect and was quick to follow up. He made himself available to receive our offer even though it came after hours on the Saturday. Darren kept us informed every step of the way and made sure that the whole sale process was as easy as possible. Of particular note was his diligence in researching additional comparable sales to back up the purchase price when our lender's valuer returned a poor valuation.   • I have recently engaged the services of Ray White Baulkham Hills to sell my Townhouse at Northmead.

    After meeting with Scott Dunger of Ray White, I must say I was both surprised and impressed with the level of service and professionalism. Scott valued my property and compared it to what else was in the market place at this time. We agreed on what we thought was a reasonable price compared to what else was on the market in the area.

    Scott and I agreed that the townhouse needed a good clean up including painting, carpet clean and garden work as the property had been rented out for the past 9 years. Scott confidently assured me that he will arrange everything once the tenants were out. Scott said “give me a week and I will have the place painted, cleaned and photographed and on the market”.  He then went on to say, “give me 2 weeks and I will sell your property!”

    Scott’s level of enthusiasm and commitment were quite frankly, astounding. Although I thought it was a BIG call, Scott, true to his word delivered in all departments. From organising painters, carpet cleaners, gardeners and photographers all at a moments notice the property was ready for sale in 5 days. Here I am exactly 2 weeks later and the property is not only sold, Scott achieved a higher price than we expected.

  • Scott Dunger sold my house at 3 Suttor Place Baulkham Hills, on 9th December 2010.

    Scott first contacted me by phone in February 2009 and made an appointment to carry out an evaluation of our house. We decided to go no further at that stage.

    As my circumstances changed, I decided in October 2010 to go ahead with the sale of my house and as Scott had been helpful and friendly the previous year, I decided to use his services. I am pleased to say that I made the right decision.

    Scott went out of his way to make selling the house as easy as possible. He made suggestions on how to place the furniture to make the place more attractive. Unbelievably, he even went to the trouble of helping me place adds in the "Trading Post" (as I am not computer literate) so that I could sell unwanted furniture.

    The Customer Service he gave was second to none - he arranged "Open Houses" each weekend (including several Sundays) - he kept me informed on what each prospective client thought about the house - I received weekly reports of any progress. It took only 5 and a half weeks to sell the house in a very slow selling climate.

    I went to Queensland for Christmas. That didn't stop Scott from helping me. He kept me informed on the progress of the sale - he gave me a cleaner's name so that I could leave the old house in good condition for the new owners - he emailed a large report to my solicitor in Qld.

    I could not have wished for a more helpful and nicer person to sell my house than Scott Dunger and I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone and I would certainly utilise his services again should the opportunity arise.

  • Darren Dowd - a well groomed, intelligent, highly organised, always available professional and a total terrier Agent at getting the deal done.

    My husband is a Vice President of Sales for a multinational Software company and had very high 'Sales' standards for the man or woman who would be selling our home.

    He wanted someone who would market the house well, draw in every potential buyer and firmly and promptly close the deal with the best possible price.  Out of all the agents we interviewed Darren was a well well prepared stand out.

    The sale of our house was a success, but it was not without its challenges.  Darren rose to these challenges - not giving up, not panicking, nor putting us on a back shelf in the too hard basket, he pushed hard and got the deal done.

    The first open for inspection for our house drew in such a crowd of people that Darren couldn't even count the exact number.  Day one we had 3 offers on the table.  Day four the real estate market had changed overnight - with an interest rate hike and wobbly outlook, people were suddenly timid in their offers and commitment.  Day five Darren sweet talked the strongest purchaser into signing up into a deal (the lady adored the house, even though her husband felt the large land and big house was not the downsizing he had in mind).

    Seven days later the buyer after getting Darren to jump through several demanding hoops - pulled out.  We worried.  But not Darren.  He rebooted the marketing, pulled through another crowd of purchasers and signed a new buyer on the front lawn in 5 minutes of negotiation for the same purchase price and with rock certain closure.

    The deal was done and we go forth to buy a new home in Melbourne. Thankyou Darren if we move back to Sydney you will be one of the first people we call.

  • Peter, I write to thank you for your help and support during the recent sale of our home in Peel Road, Baulkham Hills.

    When my husband passed away I wanted to get things going as quickly as possible, but there was a fair amount of work needed to bring the property up to a good standard.

    I called you in for advice, because of your long term association with my husband, I knew you would be “fair dinkum” with me.

    Your advice was to immediately submit the home for sale by auction without doing more than tidying, as its potential, position and spaciousness would offset concerns about the work needed. Also, the fact that a sale at auction would be unconditional was an important consideration as well. Although I had not thought about auctioning the home, I accepted your recommendation and proceeded with an auction.

    The marketing was fantastic, very effective, and drew lots of buyers. Over 100 buyer inspections were conducted during the campaign. Darren Dowd’s management of the campaign was excellent. Regular feedback and weekly meetings kept me fully informed of feedback from both buyers and the market. As auction day rolled around I knew there was strong interest from buyers for the home.

    The auction was well attended, with strong bidding; however the price offered was below my “hoped for” figure at the auction. As a result, we negotiated with the highest bidder an increased offer after the auction which was acceptable to me, contracts were signed and the property was unconditionally sold.

    I couldn’t say selling by auction does not have its stressful aspects. But I can say it gets results, namely the best price, in the shortest time, and I DO say that from my experience Ray White are the ultimate professionals in the art of auction!

    I had signed up with two different real estate agents over the past 18 months, without any success whatsoever. When I first met Darren I was well armed with knowledge of the local market and a price range I was willing to sell within. I also had extensive dealings with Real Estate agents so was sure that Darren would not be able to pull the wool over my eyes.

    I met Darren at the property I was looking to sell and he gave me an honest appraisal of what he thought it would be able to sell for on the current market and backed up his opinion with statistics and research that he had done prior to our meeting. We discussed marketing and listing options and I was very impressed with the service offered by Ray White and signed up without any hesitation.

    From the very first day I felt very re-assured by my decision to choose Darren as my real estate agent.
